First Lesson

I still remember the shock I felt when I first heard that we had to wear MAKE-UP to lessons for BESE!!!!

I was like, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
The reaction was extreme for me as I was a tomboy before and thus has no prior experience in applying make-up.

Allright boys and girls! BESE has CHANGED ME!!
After 12 lessons of BESE, I am confident in my ability to apply make-ups now! (just the basics though) HAHAHAAHA!
I know that this isn't really something that I should boast but I am very PROUD OF IT! :D

Let me show you how I learnt how to apply make-up (besides learning from the Shiseido workshop). By the way for those of you who rarely wears make-up on their own, like me, I would ADVISE you to listen well to the Shiseido workshop as it is very helpful

As you all now, the Internet is house to MAMMOTH amount of knowledge and YouTube is one of the MOST important website that can deliver this mammoth amount of knowledge in VIDEO forms! In fact, YouTube has become a necessity in today's internet era.

As we all know ladies and gentlemen,
The art of applying makeup is a basic and a COMPULSORY knowledge if you want to survive BESE, for ladies.

Yes, you need to make sure you separate some time, around 30 minutes to apply your makeup, I would advise you to do this BEFORE you go to school and take TAXI to school. This is what I usually do and I will HIGHLY reccommend it for those of you who find it a pain in the neck to come to school earlier to apply your makeup and would rather spend money than doing so, or is shy about doing it in school. I can tell you though, many of us did this and this action is not limited to me only!

For those of you who do not have that $$$ to spend, do not worry! Just be in school earlier to prepare, if you have a good friend in the same class, you should ask her to come earlier with you. You should then help each other to apply make-up. ( To all of you LRM STUDENTS: TEAMWORK is the key to surviving your semester 2.2!!!) You will really need the help of your friends to survive well.

Now! We are going to start our make-up lessons! (Sorry boys, I will touch on yours later)
I will now show you how I learnt to apply the following make-up tools:
1) Eye shadow
2) Eye liner
3) Mascara
4) Powder
5) Foundation

We are going to start with foundation and powder first;
The Shiseido workshop was able to teach you quite well on how to apply these 2 tools but you may also want to watch this video:

We'll now go on to applying eye liner.
This was EXTREMELY difficult for me as I had single eyelid and I had no prior experience so my hands kept on shaking when I was doing it for the first few times (no longer now :D:D:D)
I watched this video to learn it:
(This video also shows the types of different eye liners there are, but I will summarise it all for you on my next post)

After the eyeliner, you will want to go for your eye-shadow(or you may do it before the eyeliner, it depends on your choice). The video I watched to learn in detail on how to apply it is:

You will then apply your mascara!
But before you apply your mascara, I would reccommend you to curl your eye lashes first! (You may also curl it again after you apply your mascara if you do not feel it is curly enough, just ensure it is dry)

Furthermore, I would reccommend that you buy a lash comb as your eyelashes may clump together. How do you apply it? Like a normal comb, just comb the clumped part of your eye lash :D
