Eyeliners

As I’ve promised before, I have created a summary of what the video on eyeliner was talking about(as it was a very long video). I will not however, tell you in written form how to apply the tools, please watch the video for that as you will learn much faster from there (at least I did…)

Liquid Eyeliner

It is the most hard to apply as it is very bold and slick. Liquid eyeliner generally comes in a tube with a brush that pulls out with the liquid on it.

Positive Sides:

• Great for Arabic makeup, cat eyes, and dramatic looks.
• Provides a well-defined, thin line which makes the eyelashes look thicker.

Consequences:

• Difficult to apply well.
• Takes a steady hand, patience, and much pracice

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner

Pencil Eyeliner

This is the most common eye liner, it is most easy to manage and control. Pencil eyeliners is like a pencil that you sharpen when needed. To apply, you “draw” on the line close to your lashline.

If you would like to have a color on your waterline, these are generally the best type to use. You need not look for ones that are tested by an ophthalmologist to prevent irritation in the eye

Positive Sides::

• Easy to control.
• Wide range of colors.
• Common and easy to find in every brand of makeup.

Consequences:

• Unless you sharpen really well, it does not provide as crisp a line.

Gel/Cream Eyeliner

This type of eyeliner is mostly used by professional makeup artists not the mai

nstream public, but it is becoming more and more common. Cream eyeliners often come in a pot-form that you can dip an angled brush, fine tip brush, or pencil eyeliner in to get the product out. It can even be used as a creamy base underneath the eyeshadow.

If you are using a brush, you will need a steady hand as it is glides pretty easily. Since this liner takes longer to dry, it is good for smudging along the lashline.

Positive Side:

· Creamy and easy to smudge.

• Useful to make smokey eyes

Consequences:

• Not as portable as pencil eyeliner.

Eyeshadow as an Eyeliner

This is the fastest and easiest way to line your lashes.

Positive Side:

• Varieties of colors
• Simple application

Consequences:

• Does not last as long as other eyeliners
